What is a Career Development Practitioner?
Anna is a qualified Career Development Practitioner. Career Practitioners focus on career management, occupational and study decisions, career transitions, career planning and finding reliable information about the job market. You can read more here.
What is a Career Coach?
Anna specialises in career support and coaching. Coaching is a way of talking together so you are empowered to find your career aspirations and strengths. Coaching is collaborative. Sometimes a coach may offer direct advice, but always with your specific context.​
What is the difference between a Career Coach and a Counsellor?
Career coaching is not mental health counselling. We recognise that mental health and career happiness can be intertwined, but Anna is not a mental health counsellor. If Anna senses that mental health support is important for you, she will refer you - always with respect, gentleness and confidentiality.
What if I don't know what career direction I want to take?
That's not a problem at all! We collaborate with YOU to work out what career is going to energise and light you. If you do know which way you want to go, job search strategy is part of the service Anna offers.
Once I get a job, can I still be supported?
Yes! Absolutely. This journey is about you, and Anna is here to support you for as long as you wish.
Do you write resumes and cover letters?
While this is not our focus, not a service we provide, we can certainly review your resume and refer you to our fantastic contacts in resume writing to get the best possible service.
Do you offer interview coaching?
Finding your career strengths can certainly help you nail your interview, and interview coaching is a service coming soon. Watch this space.
Are these coaching sessions confidential?
Absolutely. I am ethically bound to be confidential as a registered Career Development Practitioner. The discussions conducted in all coaching sessions will be kept private between the parties present.
Do you offer payment plan options for your coaching services?
Yes! Please reach out to discuss payment plan options. We believe that coaching should be accessible for everyone.
Are coaching sessions in person or virtual/online?
Evergreen Career Consulting is located in the beautiful Lake Macquarie region in NSW. If you are close by, or in the Hunter, face to face sessions are available. Virtual sessions are available as well.
What are the durations for your coaching sessions? Is there a timeframe in which my sessions need to be completed?
Session duration is 75 minutes. For single sessions, one reschedule is permitted, to be used within two months of the original date. Cancellations within 24 hours of your session will incur a fee, as outlined in our terms and conditions (when you sign up for our services). Packages should be used within three months.
